Insurance Information
Please find the following information about Insurance covering Acupuncture. I've listed a few different ways it is covered below. Always Add your ins. Info into the Insurance verification spot on my frontpage.
Different Ways Acupuncture Can Get Covered
HSA HRA & FSA
HSA- A type of savings account that lets you set aside money on a pre-tax basis to pay for qualified medical expenses.
HRA- reimburse employees for certain medical expenses. Employers, not employees, fund HRA's.
FSA- An arrangement through your employer that lets you pay for many out-of-pocket medical expenses with tax- free dollars.
Ask your employer about these plans, you may have it and not know it.
Medical Insurances
Medical Insurances change from year to year, the ones I can use are:
Optum
only some Blue Cross/Blue Shield
Cambridge Health Alliance
Always Health
Harvard Pilgrim
Humana MA
Whole Health Living Choices (20% dis.)
Mass Health Ins.
Workman's Comp & Accident Claims
Workman's Comp is pretty straightforward. They will give yoyu a claim number nd if treatments are approved by a doctor we can get them paid for.
Accident Claims however, has been giving Acupuncturist issues lately. So, if you have an accident claim you first have to make sure its covered and second there's enough money in account to pay for treatments. If not, you will be responsible to pay the costs.
Additional Notes
Acupuncture is being picked up more and more by Insurance companies and different plans. The Medical Community is recognizing the Benefits and Advantages there are for their patients who are able to have Acupuncture Treatments.
